Opening comments up to the GD Archive family to help name our new female puppy. Our male dog is named Marley. Looking for a music related name for her. Thanks in advance for your suggestions...

Aiko is a great dog name, though it sounds male.

I think Cassidy is a great name for a dog though.

Very nice BlueDevil. Yes, Marley has two namesakes: Marley's ghost in a Xmas Carol (we got him in December) and Bob Marley.

I've always been partial to Cassidy myself. I read in a dog training manual once that you want your dog's name to have a hard consonant to start to grab attention of the animal. Name should also have few syllables.

Good points. MAR-ley is a good hey whats up call. Wife suggested Layla, which the pronunciation could fall into that.

Sounds strange, but they are very pretty dogs with a great temperament. We have kids so this seemed to work well

Marley... he is a Rhodesian Ridgeback and Pointer mix.
